Teaching Artist
Radhika Rao is a bilingual actor, improv artist and education specialist based in San Francisco, California. Radhika earned a doctoral degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she focused on theater and the performance of citizenship. She is a cast member in the Improv Duo- “Radediah” and “Gamesome Frolic” (founded at Leela Improv) and web series "Hiraeth" and "Strings Attached” available for streaming on Amazon Prime. Her educational work includes working with populations spanning from elementary school students to senior citizens; with universities and schools to non profits and multinational companies. Selected collaborators include New Conservatory Theater Center, SPARC, Livermore, University of San Francisco, UC San Diego, Cal Sate San Marcos, Stanford University, Samuel Merritt University, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, American Conservatory Theater, Stagebridge, Urban High School, Leela Improv, Cutting Ball Theater, Larkin St Youth Services, LifeTheater Services, DoThinkDo, Adyen, Coursera. She also serves on the Board of Same Boat Theater Collective, which is working to create awareness about environment sustainability through Theater Arts. Radhika was raised in India with various cultures and languages. You can see her perform regularly with Leela Improv in San Francisco.
