Joanna Tompkins is an educator and actor originally from London, England. For the past 9 years she has lived in Birmingham, England where she began her teaching journey in 2016. Jo is a trained classical singer and her specialisms lie within musical theatre, Shakespeare and devising. She can often be found either directing a show, or acting in one herself.
Her pedagogical interests focus around the importance of drama and creative arts for students with disadvantaged backgrounds and how it can help them in academic attainment, emotional growth, and social development.
