Teacher
Jennifer Lybarger: is a native of Pittsburgh and a graduate of Point Park University (BA in acting). Upon graduating, she pursued her performance career in New York City where she lived for almost a decade. During that time, she toured North America in the casts of Crazy for You, Funny Girl and Copacabana and played Rose Alvarez in an off-Broadway production of Bye Bye Birdie.
While living in NYC, Jenn had her first experiences as an arts educator, working for Ballet Tech (NYC Public School for Dance) as well as teaching workshops and master classes as part of her Off –Broadway contract.
In 2006, she moved back to “the burgh” and began her teaching career. She has been a member of the theater faculty at Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 since 2009 and has been directing middle school, high school, and department productions for the past 15 years. Favorite student shows include: The Prom, Shrek Jr., Chicago, Seussical Jr., Hairspray and Songs for a New world. She is looking forward to directing Sweeney Todd this spring for our High School Musical.
Jenn joined the faculty of the Pittsburgh CLO Academy in 2018, where she is teaching Improv, Intermediate Acting and Acting for Film and Television, private coaching and directing summer theater camp shows, most recently Legally Blonde Jr. last month.
