Jennifer Lybarger: is a native of Pittsburgh and a graduate of Point Park University (BA in acting). Upon graduating, she pursued her performance career in New York City where she lived for almost a decade. During that time, she toured North America in the casts of Crazy for You, Funny Girl and Copacabana and also played Rose Alvarez in an off-Broadway production of Bye Bye Birdie.
While living in NYC, Jenn had her first experiences as an arts educator, working for Ballet Tech (NYC Public School for Dance) as well as teaching workshops and master classes as part of her Off –Broadway contract.
In 2006, she moved back to “the burgh” and began her teaching career at the Rauh Conservatory. She joined the theater faculty at Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 since 2009 and has been teaching and directing there for 15years and continuing.Favorite shows directed include: The Prom, Songs for a New World, Shrek, Chicago, Titanic and Jekyll & Hyde. She is looking forward to directing her students this Spring in Sweeney Todd!!!!!
Jenn proudly joined the faculty of the CLO Academy in 2019 where she is teaching Improv, Intermediate Acting and Acting for Film and Television as well as directing summer camp shows.
Currently in pre-production for Legally Blonde Jr with 41 incredible 11-15 year old artists!
