This week Jimmy talks with Massachusetts teaching artist Jennifer Morin. She talks about her work in adaptive performing arts, her own experiences with ADHD, and provides some excellent strategies for teachers to use in their own classrooms.
Teaching Artist
Jen Morin is a freelance theater and film teacher/director in the Greater Boston area where she specializes in adaptive classes for people with cognitive disabilities. Recent projects have included: music videos; movies; musical performances; a live, adapted production of A Christmas Carol, and a theater teaching artist position at the 2023 Boston International Turner Syndrome Summit (BITSS).
Jen is a certified theater teacher (Massachusetts) with an M.F.A. in Film Directing and a B.F.A. In Film/Drama. She is a classically trained singer and actor, and continues to enjoy and learn from a variety of theater workshops, including improv and commedia dell'arte.
